I've booked Kate's Kitchen Band twice now, both times for an adults-only Cèilidh with about 100 people of varying abilities.

Both times we've had great feedback from our attendees. The music was appropriate in style, speed, and volume, the calling helpful, and the jokes corny.

Just as importantly for us, the whole pre-gig experience was great. Communication was straightforward, and expectations very clear. I'm expecting to use them again for our next event.

How lovely that this dance is so popular. I can't recommend it highly enough.

'I think without exception everyone at Bridge Greenhouses and our Dutch suppliers had a truly wonderful evening. The music provided was excellent and exactly what we had hoped for. Please do pass on our good wishes and thanks to all members of Kate's Kitchen Band.'

'Kate's Kitchen Band played at our daughter's wedding. They were fantastic and really created an excellent atmosphere. They played during the meal and then we all danced till we dropped.'

'Everyone enjoyed the music that Kate’s Kitchen Band played at our party. The range of instruments made the music complex and exciting. It was great to look around the hall and see everyone dancing and enjoying themselves.
You pitched the choice of dances very well, even fitting in a last minute request, and the caller made it clear what we had to do while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and fun.
A couple of friends from work who came along didn't know anybody else, but after one or two of dances they soon felt at ease with everyone.
The band were very professional arriving on time to set up quickly and efficiently, and at the end of the evening everything was stowed quickly so we could get out of the hall well within our booked time.
It was all great fun - we haven't enjoyed a dance as much for years.
We are looking forward to your next performance and would like tickets when they become available. Chris and I would unhesitatingly recommend the band.'

'I was just really delighted with the quality of music and the sheer joy that your music generated for people at our celebration.
The whole event was made special by the fun that you brought to it. I will definitely be recommending you to others and will have you to other functions.
Thank you Mark and please thank all your friends for last night.'

Thank you for making our party on Saturday night such a success, it was a real fun evening and everyone had been saying how much they enjoyed it, so that you all very much.

'...and led to us hiring the brilliant Kate’s Kitchen Band for a traditional barn dance in the evening of the reception.'

Heather and Tim.

Kate's Kitchen band provided a perfect container for a lovely retirement bash. They blended in with everyone, and were helpful leading amateur ceilidh dancers round the dance floor! The music as ever was joyful and the band is colourful and friendly. Thank you so much for your contribution to a magical evening.

Thank you for playing for our third annual ceilidh. Once again it was a sell out and everyone had tremendous fun. Your caller helped non-dancers to join in and the music was infectious. We are already looking forward to next year when you help us to banish the February blues.

This is a comment on one of our postings on Facebook about the September Ceilidh from Rose: 'Sadly I can't make this date. Went to the last one at the ropetackle, had a fantastic evening with friends, laughed so much on the eve & for weeks after. Highly recommended for a really great evening out. Kim grab a few people & get tickets!'

'Hi Mark and all you wonderful musicians, sorry not to have sent feedback to you yet, been crazily busy since the Shakespeare fest trying to tie up ends, working etc etc. I hope to get to it very soon. You were absolutely marvelous on our Shakespeare Night, perfect for the evening, your music, visuals, persona, costumes, everything! And the Caller was brilliant too, so much great feedback about him and you. There are strong rumours of a Shakespeare Night in 2017, so please would you pencil in Saturday the 22nd April 2017. Will confirm when we've had further discussions.
Libby and all the team x'.

'Hi Mark
Thank you so much for contributing to such a wonderful evening. the music was amazing and judging by all the emails and phone calls I have had today every one thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It was lovely to meet members of your band, and I know many of the guests thought Jill was brilliant.
The aim of the Social Group is really to bring people together, which this event certainly did. Please do thank your colleagues for us, you were all amazing.
With very best wishes.
